The biggest free ChatGPT features you might be missing out on
“You don't have to be a genius or a visionary or even a college graduate to be successful. You just need a framework and a dream.”
Michael Dell said it best, and in this case—you need a winning prompting framework to get winning GPT outputs 👀
Nope, this isn’t a promo piece for the paid ChatGPT account, though there are some cool features you might also be missing out on there!
In this issue, I’m recapping some of the coolest features that are available on the free plan that we went over in the 2 hour deep dive training I put on with Internations on Monday.
If you missed it, I recorded the presentation portion this time!
Just hit reply if you’d like a copy of it 🙂
We went through a deep dive on my SCOPE framework to prompting, and how to level up your prompt engineering using custom GPTs, layering them together, and put them to use in a real-time prompting scenario.
Let’s dive in.
My 3 Favourite Free ChatGPT Features
First up is the GPT store.
It’s more a limitless free directory of pre-trained GPTs you can work with on some very targeted prompts.
If you’re not an experienced GPT user, this might be the single biggest part of the LLM you’re missing out on — if you’re familiar with it, move on to #2!
You can click on “Explore GPTs” on the left side panel, and you’ll find a TON of them to look through.
You’ll find all of these and so many more.
You can use the search toolbar to find something someone has created, and pick the one that has the highest number of chats created to test it out.
Note: I’d recommend just making sure it doesn’t also get access to the rest of your chats if you’re sharing anything particularly sensitive (which I wouldn’t advise in the first place given ChatGPT is training on all our prompt history lol — though I see this as a worthy trade-off for our ability to use it tbh)
Play around with it, find your favourites, and then in the next feature, you’ll see what you can do to combine multiple GPTs for the best possible outcome.
Combining GPTs Together
…and call on them at any given point in time!
One attendee asked for us to build out a prompt to perform some technical stock analysis on real time data.
And so we jumped in.
I’m not an avid day trader or analyst, so of course I started off in finding us a custom GPT that is pre-trained on this to give us a headstart in this process.
Once we found the right GPT for the job, we were off to the races with our Investment Analyst.
We had it build us a balanced portfolio of AI stocks, using Bing search, but then I also wanted to make sure we were getting a more advanced search with my favourite Google search assistant GPT.
By hitting the ‘@’ key, you can call on any of your other recently used or pinned GPTs, benefiting from all their pre-training and capabilities.
So we called on Mixerbox and got ourselves some good follow-up reading materials:
But we weren’t done there… I wanted to show you guys a really subtle feature that stares us down in every prompt instance we’re in.
The Edit Button.
I know, I know.
The final feature surely should be something more revelatory than that.
But hear me out and look at this thing in action.
Our Investment Analyst GPT did a great job building us a balanced portfolio…
But in case our avid investor wanted to explore some more companies of different market capitalizations, I showed him the power of the edit button at work.
Just by hitting this magic pencil icon, we were able to create 3 whole new “threads” within this chat instance that remembers everything we talked about above, while creating new threads to further deep dive on the 3 options we wanted to explore further:
So there you have it.
Hidden treasured available to us all in the free GPT plans.
Get in there, test them out and see how you can level up your prompting game, and most importantly—the quality of your outputs + workflows.
Hit reply and let me know how you’re getting on with them, and any other features you’d like me to break down further in another issue.
If you’re using or interested in testing out other LLMs too, keep me posted and I can do some deep dives on those as well!
Wishing you a great week ahead,

Whatever you want to do with AI in your life or business, a simple framework can go a long way.
If you’re winging it when you’re prompting, this issue dove into the details of my SCOPE framework, and how you can put it into action when you’re building your next prompt.
Take the framework and layer in these three features we’ve covered here today and you’ll be well on your way to being a GPT genius!
Which feature do you find most interesting, and how do you plan to incorporate it into your own prompting or workflow?
If this framework helps you with your prompting and you want to unlock the next level like building your own custom GPTs or audit how you’re using AI in your worlfows, let’s chat!
Hop on a free AI brainstorming call and we can see where you can better develop your prompts and integration of all things AI!
I’m excited to help you really use this skill (& these features) to streamline all operations in your business—& unlock the full potential of AI-driven solutions tailored to your needs.
